Forgotten Cemeteries, Inc. A Not For Profit Corporation was formed in January of 2005 and is recorded in the Office of the Secretary of State in the State of Missouri as a not for profit corporation.
Though starting in our home area of Sullivan County Missouri, and having plenty of work ahead of us here we are of course concerned with
the identification and recording of "Forgotten Cemeteries" across the United State. Our volunteers are trying to create a network of volunteers across the United States with knowledge of such locations, skills to preserve and protect them, and a central
location for learning of their existance and methods and means of help available for their continued existance. We recognize a need for our current and future generations to be able to visit the resting place of their forefathers and a desire to learn of their own heritage
through a personal connection with the past. |
