Forgotten Cemeteries shall locate, record, preserve, protect and seek funds for the repair of cemeteries that have been neglected, or abandoned with no one to care for them.
     Strive to be a central location for volunteers to pass on their knowledge of "Forgotten Cemeteries" in their area, so that they may be recorded and preserved.
     Strive to encourage Local, State and National legislation that will protect "Forgotten Cemeteries" from the ravages of progress, sprawl and unnecessary, willful distruction.
     To the end that our ancestors may rest in peace and dignity in the place of their choosing. Forgotten Cemeteries shall make available any records, directions, and assistance possible for people trying to locate ancestors gravesites so that they may visit that site and pay their respects to their ancestors and learn of their heritage.
